Hello! Thanks so much for visiting my page! I am humbled and honored that you are here. :) Hope you enjoy it! Now a little about myself.... Wow! It's really hard to describe ones self... Here are some easy things.. I have been married to my hubby, Terrance, for about four years ( Jan 5th will be our four year anniversary!). We have two of the cutest dogs in all the land ( doesn't everyone think their dogs are the cutest? ), a golden retriever name Kalypso, and a border collie name Gideon. Those three boys are my world! :)
My life revolves around three passions; Jesus Christ, triathlons (particularly Ironman!), and adoption.
Jesus Christ is my everything and everything in my life ends and starts with Him. Including my two other, lesser passions... triathlons and adoption.
I found a passion for triathlons several years ago while watching Ironman CdA and my passion for the sport has grown stronger and stronger with each passing year. I found a deep love for swimming, biking, and running, and while, I'm certainly not the fastest out there, I can pretty much guarantee, that I'm having the most fun out there! After doing several shorter triathlons, I decided it was time to dive head first ( literally!) into pursuing my ultimate dream... completing Ironman CdA. In June 2011, I registered for! and spent the next year stroking, spinning, and striding my way to the starting line of IMCDA 2012!! It was a journey I'll never forget and one I loved completely...except the ending. I was unable to finish due to missing a time cutoff on the bike by 5 minutes! Yes, I said 5 minutes! :( My day may have ended sooner than I anticipated, yet the dream is still going strong and I am on track to once again compete in IMCDA in 2015...and this time the results will be different! :)
Dreams often take roads different than we have planned ( yet God's plans are always better than ours). I have dreamt of being a mother my entire life. After years of trying to conceive, we found ourselves on the road to adoption. It's a journey that we are so excited for and one that we completely know is being lead by Christ! We have filled out all the required paperwork, been approved and are now in the waiting (and praying!) stage. And patience is NOT my strong point, believe me! I know Christ will bless us with a baby and I know that it will be in His Perfect timing... and I can't wait to begin the GREATEST journey God ever designed....parenthood!
